I have been taking photographs for more that 40 years, in the early days it was obviously film and a wet darkroom and I would photograph anything and everything that caught my eye including a high proportion of family shots.

I have been using entirely digital equipment for about 10 years now and I find it very liberating, enabling me to work and rework images as often as I wish.

Over the last few years my focus has changed and I am drawn to rather more serious images with some narrative potential rather than just pretty subjects and along with this has developed a great interest in monochrome images.

I love to photograph old, worn or broken artefacts because they speak to me of the activities that brought them to this state.
